Cave of the Winds - Natural Colorado Springs Attractions
Cave of the Winds in Colorado is an underground cave which is the most incredible site to visit and experience the glory of Mother Nature with amazing rare views of exiting geological formations. Prime attractions for the tourists, these caves are a must-see stop on any trip to Colorado Springs of Pikes Peak region.

The Cave of the Winds was discovered in the 1800s by two young brothers, George and John Pickett who were just out for a day’s exploration with a church group. Cave of the Winds is so named because some of Colorado’s earliest residents believed the Great Spirit of the Wind lived nearby, as wind rushing through the cave entrance made a whistling sound.

The tours major highlights are the wide open limestone spaces, which will squeeze you through tight corridors, under low cave ceilings, past stalactites & speleothems, and up and down some narrow sets of stairs.
